Job Searching Today

14:02 Oct 27 2011
Times Read: 442

Today I get to do a rather grueling job search. I did a little yesterday on the program and whew..talk about wading through some stuff! Nine out of ten applications want you to have a valid driver's license..which blows..because with my eyes I'll never have one again.

They give you a million and one search parameters..but there is no filter for..

I can't see to drive..lol.

Animals Shot In Zanesville, OH

21:45 Oct 19 2011
Times Read: 466

There was an incident all over the news that happened in the town where I live.

Many exotic animals were released, and then shot and killed as they ran through the city. It is very sad.

At first, we did not tell my daughter the entirety of what was going on. Only that she would be missing school because there were animals loose in town.

We shot a video of her response to missing school because of "Lions, Tigers and Bears." We kind of made light of the situation as to not scare her.

As time passed, we heard more and more about the animals being killed..and finally we talked to her about that.

She decided that they were killed because they did not have a home. I could not argue with her logic. She created a picture of what she would have them have as a home, and we printed off pictures of them online so she could paste them in their home.

Here is the video:

If only we adults could take things so well. She has such a big heart. I am so glad that she found a way to express what she feels.

Owies

My teeth are causing me agony. Just found out today that my insurance should be going through soon, so I'm going to be quick to make that dental appointment. I really hope I can get this dental pain dealt with shortly. Migraines I can deal with, muscle spasms I can deal with..all the rest of it, doable.

Pain in my jaw and teeth? Hell no. Get them out of my mouth.

Fulfilling Day

05:01 Oct 17 2011
Times Read: 471

My daughter finished her last day of the Season and the team remained undefeated. Her joy is my joy. Took her out for some celebratory pizza, let her rent some movies and enjoyed the company of family.

She's worked so hard, and I'm thrilled to hear her be excited about the Season to some. It is a joy to me that she is learning dedication and commitment to something that helps her strive towards self-improvement and skill building.

And it kind of gives me a kick start to remember to do the same for myself.

Winter Is Coming

Times Read: 477

I can't keep going without. The situation is getting stupid. I'm going to have to do something about this.

But what? *sigh*

Everything is so frackin complicated. Just waiting for the testing alone is going to take ages.

Waiting sucks, especially right now. Winter is coming on and everyone is slinking back into their holes. Pretty soon it's going to be slim pickings.

Don't want a repeat of last Winter *shudder"

Sinspiration

Have a great idea for a project, and as soon as I finish up a few others that I've started on, I'm going to dedicate my time to it for awhile.

It is a culmination of several things I have been doing. Now I just have to find a model that can dedicate some time for awhile, as the project will probably take several dozen sessions over a few weeks.

So excited, feeling really inspired! :D

good and bad

13:11 Oct 09 2011
Times Read: 482

I truly can't help the occasional desire to be evilish.

Most of the time I want to be a very good person, but every once in awhile, I have a difficult time classifying what it is that is beating in my brain as bad.

I understand that if you hurt someone else (and they didn't ask you to) it is bad.

I just can't always understand why it WOULD hurt them.

le' sigh
